Just watch out from spraying on any open wires. The LS1 is pretty well sealed up. Not much to worry about. I just wouldn't use the water hose and sit there with a steady stream on the motor.

KNOCK SENSORS UNDER THE INTAKE MANIFOLD WILL DIE IF THEY GET WATER IN THEM.

Be extremely careful with water getting UNDER the intake. I learned this the hard way.

Get a spray bottle and put your simple green mix into there and spray the hell out of that ho. Then just rinse it off and your left with a clean motor.

Actually... i just did mine today.

I'd be careful about getting degreaser on the belts and hoses...not that it would be the same in this situation, but I degreased and hosed the engine bay of my Syclone and some of the degreaser worked its way between the hose and the inlet of the intercooler. I took the truck out and hit full boost and the hose blew (slid) right off of the inlet neck...it sounded like a cannon shot and the truck instantly quit pulling. I immediately thought catastrophe, but much to my relief it was just the hose...just my .02

Yeah...I had a pretty good laugh about it afterwards, but when it happened I damn near had a heart attack...I thought to myself: This is gonna be expensive!
