I have tried simple green... don't waste your money. You might want to try adams, 3M, or griots they all make great products. I just ordered all three and plan to see what works best for me.

Never dull is one of the worst aluminum products I've used, a real aluminum polish like Mothers, Adams, Blingmaster, White Diamond, etc all give a deeper look with brilliant shine and not the hazey waxed look of Never Dull.

thunderstruck, ever used never dull followed up with a good aluminum polish/wax? undeniable combo... I've never used adams metal polishes, but have seen great things from them. If you want to be able to run to the parts store this has ALWAYS worked for me. #1 - 0000 steel wool, #2 Never dull, #3 Mothers aluminum polish (started this combo almost 8 years ago in HS machine shop classes lol) or your favorite metal polish/wax. You can never over polish bare aluminum haha.

I use aluminum polish by Mother's, ***** insane. I polished my dual/dual tips over the weekend and looks like freakin' new, super shiny and mirror like, no pics yet though, will this weekend.

I tried it a couple times and worked with some truckers who tried it on their rigs. They were as turned off by it as I was.

I did go back over the wheels I was doing with Mothers after the Never Dull, results were so close to the same as if I had skipped the Never Dull I can't say it was any better/worse.

IMO I would put the time spent using the Never Dull to more polishing/buffing with the better product from the get go.

For exhaust tips I've had good luck with SOS pads as a first step, they combine 0000 steel wool with soap for lubrication and grime/soot removal.

If you are starting from bare aluminum, Never Dull is the last thing you would want to use. It is intended for maintaining a polished surface, not creating one.

You will need to work in steps to go from bare to polished to do it right. I highly recommend a liquid (water runny) type polish such as Adams or Blingmaster for that type of job.

It seems like lot of them have acids/chemicals that eat away at the aluminum to help polish easier rather than just abrasives.

The best thing I've used on raw cast aluminum is a brass brush and a steam cleaner. I've used this method on several aluminum intakes and it really got them clean again. I know a steam cleaner probably isn't the answer you want, but they do work quite well.

SOS pads are the way for you to go if you're no looking to fully polish the tips.

I'm just curious how this worked out for the OP. My stock tips are filthy, and I've been trying to clean them up too without much luck.
