I just got a message concerning this build and the cutoff it provides, so I thought I'd throw a recent picture up..

is there a way to get projectors that dont cost 100's of dollars? they all seem so expensive.

I hate the lights in my transam, i tried HIDs, but those suck more.

You can do your own custom setup and save some money. Check out the Lighting FAQ and HID Planet.

If you get them too high, they'll start blinding folks.

One guy said he wanted his higher and added some spacers (washers) to the top bolts of the housing to push the top "back" and the bottom up.

He wound up moving the back, said he was getting bright lighted all the time.

I needed these when I had my Formula. I loved my HID's but most of oncoming traffic didn't care for them.

If anybody has some Hella 60s, I'll buy them...

I can get them brand new on Amazon for 43$/ea. with free shipping but wouldn't mind picking up a set for cheap.

Post that link. And I'd like to try the high beam version so they don't have the cutoff. I just don't think mine are up high enough on the drivers side at all.

As of right now I wish I went with hids in the lmc housings.

IIRC the highs are an oval shape, they don't fit in TRAMs adapters correctly. You could make them work however.

If you need to raise them up, add some washers. I'm not sure what would be causing yours to be too low.

Have you spent much time in other vehicles with HID's? The cutoff is "low" to keep from blinding people.

HID's in LMC housings would be less light and not anywhere near as focused.

Lemons is right, the brackets are not cut specifically for the high beam.

They can be adapted to work, if you're slightly handy.

Could you run a Bixenon kit instead with the highs and lows in the same bulb and projector?

If you could find a projector that would fit on the bracket, sure.
