old picture but my car is pewter. i first did flat black, but didnt like it. it got "dull" looking and looked faded all the time. I redid it in semi-gloss and it looks MUCH better

That's what I'm talking about right there. Different strokes for different folks I guess. The problem with the wheel wells is that it is hideous. GM surely cut corners and didn't care how ugly it looked. All those bumps and curves and indents and braces doesn't look good when it's all glossed up and bounces in the light. Having a satin finish kind of "covers" the imperfections if that makes any sense.

Sprayed mine with truck bed liner. This stuff is really durable.
