Default painting engine bay

ok guys why the motor is out of my bird i am looking at doing the speed inc fuel line conversion, hood and harness mod ect.

how should i go about prepping and painting the engine bay after i fill the holes??

should i just ruff the paint thats there up with like 80 grit? or what?

do you guys rattle can yalls or actually spray it with a gun?? i live on a hill and dont have a shop and dont have a big air compressor either and if yall rattle can it what type of paint and clear do yall use??

I rattle canned mine. Most parts stores carry Dupli-Color perfect match. Look up your paint code and you can get the exact matching paint. Something like $7 for 8 ounces.

my car was originally black but was painted yellow i am gonna go back with black any pics of how yours turned out??? every time i paint with rattle can it turns out dull unless it is supper hot outside? who did you prep yours? also what kind of duplicolor

Painted my bay today

I used the patching Dupli-Color clear coat.
As it says in my thread, I didn't really do much for prep, just treated some problem areas.

rattle can....and don't forget to use a clear coat to really make it shine and give it that depth
