Corbeau CR-1 installed (pics)
Picked up a set of used Corbeau CR-1's with F-body seat tracks for $300 from hitmanws6. MSRP on something like this is over $900 shipped, brand new, so I'm not too worried about the color or the minor flaws in the fabric.
The old drivers seat was so worn out that it literally hurt to drive for long distances, and it messed up my posture. Even used, these seats are amazingly better than stock (aside from the color). I could sleep in these. As an added bonus, they hold me very well in the corners.
The good news is that they make replacement covers, and in grey cloth w/leatherette bolsters, for about $240 a pair shipped to my door.
The hitch? The grey cloth seat covers take 12 weeks between the time I place the order to the time that Corbeau has them shipped to my door. They don't have any in stock.
Sigh.
This is what they will look like once I re-cover them:
Here's a few installed pics. Note: red is not a good accent color at all for a Pewter car.
"Boy Racer" look: check.
UPDATE: I went black and grey microsuede (grey cloth was on 8 week backorder...WTF) and had a professional custom upholstery shop install the covers (which came with velcro to stick on top of the old covers, and fit like ****, BTW), make custom foam lower back bolsters, and repair the various things wrong with the drivers seat.

Thanks guys! I told my buddies I'd paint my calipers red to match. And then add red stripes. And red tint. And red wheels. And a red roof. And maybe a golden M on the sail panels.
The passenger side was about the same or a little heavier than stock, and the drivers side was lighter than stock. Pretty sure with brackets they're within 10lbs of each other - stock vs. Corbeau. Not sure which setup is heavier, but the drivers side definitely seems lighter. Can't verify that though because I haven't weighed them. I'll try and weigh them when I take them out in a few months to recover them with the grey covers. Another thing to keep in mind is that my car has the V6/Formula seats, which should be somewhere between a Camaro seat and a TA seat in terms of weight.

Thanks. I've tried black accents with Photoshop or Plasti-Dip and for the most part, I'm not a fan. It does need an accent color or two... I'm still looking. It may actually be decent with red calipers and red seats due to the way the rest of the car looks.
I know his shop can make me the covers (they are local and I have contacts @ 6LE), but not for less than the ~$250 in 2.75 months that it would take Corbeau to get me two authentic covers shipped to my door... Even at 6LE cost. They do quality work, and you get what you pay for.
