What's the Best Way to do This?
I want to swap in a black billet grill, but I want the area behind the grill to be black, not body colored. What is the best way to approach that? Does anybody make a vinyl that covers it? I'd rather not paint it if I don't have to.

i used plastidip to blackin it in, looks great. can get a can at home depot for 6 bucks, if you get sick of it, just peel it off, easy.
Here's some pics, I wanted to leave the holes white so you could still see them from an angle, took me 5 minutes
Taped it and sprayed then peeled before it dried
With grill on

**** if that's the case I feel like plasti-dipping my front bumper as well cuz I took the stock grille off and want to either slp grille it or black billet w/ blue chevy bowtie but didnt want the paint color to show and dont want to paint it black.

Mines been on over a month, no signs of it peeling or anything.. even washed the grill with a pressure washer several times. I know what you mean but personally I think it's the best option, not permanent

If you dont plan to ever remove it just paint it. I did this on my SS and once the grill is on, you cant see any imperfections in the painting. Just be careful of overspray on the front bumper and hood
