Default 2000 SS HID Foglight issue

hey guys i am a new owner of a 2000 SS and im converting to HID lighting. In my fogs the bulb mounts at 90 degree to the lens. however the hid bulb will not fit into the housing, it is too long, the bulbs are the right type. is there a low profile bulb for these or are there bulb spacers? thanks

What bulb number did you get? I believe there's a couple that work, I used 880 bulbs for mine. I didn't think mine fit at first either, but someone assured me they would. Tried again, with a little more confidence and got them in fine.I won't say it wasn't a tight fit though

I've changed the HID fog light bulbs on my 02 SS more times than I would ever want to (my fault for using cheap hid brand kept burning bulbs) But everytime Ive changed them out they go right in. It is a little tight in there but 880 bulbs should fit fine.

I found it easier to take the fog housing out and put the bulb in.

Yeah, maybe try that. I forgot, mine were out when I put the bulbs in too, I was re-painting the brackets.

Funny, I'm picking up a 2000 SS in 2 days and I've already got hids ready for the fogs. It's a triple black vert 6 speed.

mine screwed right in. you may have the wrong bulb size. you should be able to install it without removing the fog lamp unit. is it not fitting in all the way or just not turning/clicking into place?

Mine did not fit the first time out. I had the fogs out of the car and everything. I needed to add a nylon washer from blowes/home cheapo to make it fit properly. Otherwise, it was never going to work
