Well got a little bit accomplished this past weekend through today. Finally got it finished down with final polish, but there's still just a handful of spots i'm gonna work over just a bit more.
Reflection off the front fender watching the heat game

Got the driver side seat brackets mocked up and bolted in, still haven't started on cleaning the interior yet

I had some pretty nasty waterspots on the windows, the steel wool or vinegar trick didn't do a damn thing so i went over the windows with some 3m rubbing compound on an orange pad, had to work it pretty good for about 4 passes, but i finally got them off. Still have to do the windshield and back glass :bang

Rear bumper sanded, i had to fill a few spots on the stupid aftermarket spoiler and i still have a few spots to fix

So that brings us up to date, got the bumper and spoiler primed today and i'm gonna block sand tomorrow and if everything goes well shoot bc/cc tomorrow night, the way things go probably won't happen though

Still working on the front bumper, in the process of filling in the grille holes

The car is coming out great man, I can only imagine the time and effort your putting into it.
I would recommend swapping out the end link bolts and bushings to an aftermarket set.

I love it. I wanted a camaro in that color or a white formula, I found my formula first..

Can you get me the info for the paint you used on the valve covers? Keep up the great work!

Still had some more imperfections that needed a bit more filler

Got the spoiler and bumper blocked in with 320 using my durablocks and a guide coat. Trying to get everything as straight and flat as i can. Still gonna have to spray more primer and block again. Hopefully i can just hit the bumper with 400 and then 600 and be good to go. The stupid aftermarket spoiler may need a little bit more

Getting pretty close on filling the front bumper holes

Probably not going to shoot bc/cc until mid to end of next week because we decided to step up to a better gun. Probably gonna order this one

Got a little bling in the mail today too :cheers

I knew i was missing something in my Emblempro's pics. I left out my intake plaque. I'm gonna respray my intake and throttle body when i get my new deVillbiss gun

Also got the 2nd go of primer on the rear bumper and spoiler. Hopefully i can block them with some 600 tomorrow and have them ready for the top coat

I also got a little primer sprayed on the front cover to see how my body work was coming along. The filled in holes look pretty good although i still need to work the middle two a bit more. The screw holes are still in there because i'm gonna repaint the billet grille and put it back on, i was hoping i could just use some double sided tape and ditch the screws but i don't believe it will work out.

Just found the thread Scott. That video is just sick. I can't believe how far and how fast that Z has come. Definetly a great build. Be careful not to make the old man too jelous.

Puttin in some good work, nice job!

What seats are those? Are they soft or do they have some firmness to them?
(ya, ya, that's what she said...ha ha...)

Are you keeping the wheels that came with the car as well or going with something else?

They are Cipher Auto seats. They aren't too firm but aren't plush either, of course i haven't went on any drives with them, but just sitting in them they aren't uncomfortable. Back on black friday weekend i got them from Cipher Auto for like 295 shipped for the pair. I figured what the hell for that price i'll give them a go, i had read they were a decent seat on some other boards.

I will be keeping the vette wheels that are on it for now. Reason being is all of the wheels i want are like 3k plus, haha. Just don't have that kind of change right now.

I just used Rustoleum with a brush and roller, it's kind of a pita though. I should have just taped off the car and used something in a rattle can when the rear end and everything was out.

Well we got the spoiler painted last night, it turned out ok, keep in mind i'm still learning this whole paint and body thing. As you can see there is an excessive amount of orange peel and in certain spots it's worse than others so obviously the technique is yet to be perfected. However the color seems to be just about spot on. I will be color sanding and buffing tomorrow and see how the final product turns out.
