Default New hood, question on hood pins

Okay so I just got my VFN sunoco installed today but have one slight issue. The drivers side of the hood near the headlight sticks up a bit. Would the aerocatch hood pins help fix this?

I hope you are going to paint that! Haha

If the hood cannot be adjusted any better then hood pins would work.
Who put the hood on? You, or a body shop?

Yeah it will be painted but after the holidays lol. Body shop put the hood on and tried everything. It doesn't take much force at all to make it sit even. Good to know that set of hoods pins will fix this. Extra added safety + making hood sit even = win.

Thanks

Not a problem man.. My aftermarket hood doesn't fit perfect either, but i'm not about to put hood pins on a GTO haha.

Good Luck, and I hope the hood pins fix you up!

Thanks, this hood fits like stock minus that one little area so I'm actually quite happy with it. I know fiberglass is NEVER perfect regardless of the company, but it can be damn near perfect because of the company you pick..........................VFN all the way

Try lowering the stop that's under that corner even lower than normal height, then place some weight on the hood for a while with a light amount of heat, like leaving it in the sun for a while. That might help just enough to get it to lay flat.

I have the aerocatch hood pins which are awesome if it's something you like.

I was going to try that route as well. I will be definitely getting the aerocatch hood pins either way for added security.

Probably saved you another couple of pounds haha. I know this hood saves around 30-35lbs right off the bat lol

I really think that is a issue with vfns mold.if you look at the 3 inch SS Hood they all have that.i thought it was only with the 3inch but maybe that is becauce its more noticeable on that Hood.i would try adjusting it a lol more but even with everything i did i could not fix thatpart

This illustration Should Help, The ls-1 Hoods Pivot like a Teeter Totter on the Center latch, so for example if the Drivers side sticks up, loosen the center latch and move it slightly in the direction of the drivers side, if the passenger side is the one sticking up just move the latch towards that side

It brought it down a little but not much. Going to be ordering the hood latches from AeroCatch soon to try that route.
