Default New Flame Job!

I finally decided to start on appearance mods. I am thinking about changing wheels, again... The wheels are way too heavy! I don't want to lose that much time when racing. I am looking for something in a 17x9.5 that doesn't weigh a ton. I also put on a set of front clear corners because of the new paint job. I went with the 2 1/2" cowl because I couldn't see over the 4". What should I do about the front grill? I know there are many aftermarket grills. Which one would you suggest?
Here is a picture of the dash lights:

Here is a picture of the car. The picture isn't very good because I had to shrink it down so much. The paint looks 10x better in person!

Thank you. I figured that I should make it look different since I am at at stopping point with the motor (at this time). The main things that I still need are going to cost a pretty penny and I am trying to keep the car a daily driver as long as possible. I am thinking about going with a larger cam and of course upgrading the fuel system. I also have to get a 12 bolt because the rear won't hold up much longer (already giving me problems). Well, enough about that... anyone have any suggestions on the grill? Help me out please! I am no good at this appearance stuff!
Suggestions on wheels would help too! Remember, I am going for light weight but something that looks good too!

Thanks in advance for the help!

Pictures don't do that car justice. It looks so much better in person. It is definately one of the best looking F-Bodies I have ever seen.

Nice flames.

For the new wheels

I just got a set of ZO6 wheels and they were only 23lbs each. The real ones are 17lbs but cost about 4 times as much.

Silver color matched WW grill, and some clear side markers as you said you got. For wheels thats tough, need something to compliment the flames. I'd definantly say a silver wheel, not chrome IMO, because the silver would look great with the silver flames and tie the whole car together. A silver Z06 or C5 wheel would work, but ideally I'd say something like the Eneki (sp?) Wins or LG World Challenge wheels, or my fav the Eneki V1s would really set the car off. I think TByrne sells them so check there. But I think you need a fatter spoke with that car, so thats why my vote is for one of those. Thats my .02 cents, and besides that the car looks gorgeous.

Sweet flames!

Is that a guage overlay? Or new blubs behind stock gauges?

Another gal with flames!! I Love the Flames!! Great job!!! Too bad you're so far away. I'd like to see the car in person! Could you email me a big pic of it?? I'm a photographer too as well as a car nut and a flame lover! pewter2k@comcast.net

Also I agree....a billet grill would make the silver in the flames flow really nicely!! Mine's going back in the shop to get redone since it's done in candies now....never get candies with a daily driver

Anyway great lookin car!

I am going to take some better pictures soon. I will email one to you Michelle.

Thank you for all the suggestions. I will look into the grill and the wheels.

To answer your question about the guages. The blue is not an overlay nor is it bulbs. The guages were a home made project done by Brian Grimal here in Houston. It is kinda hard to explain how he did it but he used some sort of colored paper.

The flames were done by Pat Maxwell of Maxwell Designs. You can check out more of his work at:
www.maxwell-designs.com

The paint was done by a private painter that works for a dealership here in town.

Could you send me info on your painter, I'm considering getting my car painted and I'm in Houston.

I would steer away from the LG wheels. They look good but they are heavy too. I had a set and got rid of them because they were heavier. I weighed them and they were 10 lbs heavier each wheel.

Thanks
Mike

Awesome! Get yourself a WW grill like Steve mentioned, a set of clear corners, and chrom Z06's and it'll be

I agree with Steve. Get the Wings West Grill painted to match. Don't ruin the amazing look of the car with a billet grill.
