Where to find the best towels for waxing/buffing car?
I cant find any friggin good ones on any of the parts stores and etc around here. They are 100% cotton, but made in some other friggin country. Dos anyone know where to get 100% cotton, made in USA towels? Does anyone sell good ones on here?

You need to buy the best towels at a bed and bath type store, not the cheap stuff in discount stores. I've been buying mine from Kevin Overall, the TN Zaino distributor (no you don't HAVE to buy Zaino to get the towels). He trims the edgings, cuts to requested size and resews the edges with cotton thread. His cost less than the towels in the bed and bath stores do. I get the Fieldcrest Charismas from him. His e-mail address is koverall@cddn.com if you are interested.
I also use Gerber flat baby diapers (real baby diapers).
Never use the "stuff" you find in an auto store.
Also get a 100% cotton mitt. The only ones I'm aware of are from NAPA. I've cleaned them out just to have extras.

I went to Wal-Mart and got the biggest white 100% cotton towels i could. Fieldcrest I believe. I cut them up into whatever size I need. And they aren't too awful expensive either.

I got the Charisma's from Kevin SS on ls1.com appearance forum. They are 100% cotton with the edged reversed stitched. No Nylon thread and you should wash them in liquid detergent in a lingere bag, no powder.
Well worth the money, I've had them for three years and use them every weekend.

I get all my car drying/waxing towels from Ross - it is a discount store in CA (not sure if it's nationwide). They sell discontinued styles and last years clothes that the dept. stores couldn't get rid of. You can get some nice towels for only a few bucks.

I only place the applicator pads in a lingere bag.
Keep all car towels, mitts, etc. and wash them seperate from regular laundry. Use ONLY a liquid detergent and NO bleaches or softeners. I also run them thru the rinse cycle 2 extra times. I dry partly on the lowest heat setting and complete the drying with air fluff (no heat).
