You can pulld the ball off the bit thats left..its just press fitted on and then use super glue (just a dab) to hold it on the short piece thats on the car..

Guitar you have SOLD me on this! You are so right... I have done my studying up on these antenna's... and whether that I wanted to chop and shave my stock antenna, or buy an Ebay cheapo... (which by the way they look horrible)... ORRRR actually support an LS1tech member and buy an antenna that actually LOOKS like it belongs on the car! Very solid piece by the way BitViper! Like I said, I am sold! It actually looks like it belongs on the car... a phat car needs a phat antenna!

Hey BitViper, sending a PM! Sign me up!!

And I am also proud to say like BlkBrd that this will be my first mod on my new Arctic White 02 SS Camaro that I have just bought since coming home from Deployment!

My car originally had a power antenna, it uses the same plug in as a normal antenna. I swapped mine out to a regular antenna from a camaro after my motor died on my power one. I don't see why you couldn't swap it out...

I drove with it last night. I live in the mountains of east TN and lost some of my reception. All my presets that picked on the stock antenna didnt pick up on the bitviper except 2. Love the looks. not sure what I will do at this point. The car lost its daily driver status so its not as big of a deal. I like the looks a lot.

Dude anywhere in East TN I always had bad reception... whether thats with antenna's or cell phones... I lived in Talbott off Cherokee Lake and in the mountains that's expected... glad I live in the city now... Stationed in Norfolk, VA

Boy am I sure going to miss Rod Runs though!!!

I'm just sharing this for people that may have the same situation since its said that the bitviper antenna has as good reception as stock. It has also been bad weather the last 2 days in case that plays a role.

I've had mine for a few weeks now and it works just like the stock antenna. I live in Charlotte and work in Asheboro and I get reception almost all the way there just like my GM antenna. No loss of reception and yes weather can be a problem.

Hey I'm just sharing for people looking at maybe getting one. The quality is great and it looks good. Weather never effected my stockers reception. The paper that came with my bitviper asked for a honostly review so there it is. I still like the antenna and plan to run I am just saying thus far the reception isn't quite like the stockers for me....

Sorry to hijack but i didn't see the need to start a new thread. Just got my Bitviper antenna and thought i'd share some pics. If there was a swept back version of this i would of probably choose that but either way I'm very happy with this one. It's definitely a nice piece especially for the price. to Bitviper for make a nice product.
