Thumbs up Bitviper Antenna

Well I received my Bitviper antenna today, being me I ran out to the car to install it and see how it looks on the car. What is a 5 minute job took about 30 minutes, someone had hulked on the old antenna and I couldn’t get it off, so I took a pair of channel locks to hold the base. Then what do you know the antenna screw broke off in the antenna. WTF

The antenna screw was too short then but I saw that there was another peace to the base (round thing in pic) so I unscrewed that and BAM it fits

All in all I think it looks great and should be on the mod list

The BitViper antenna is a great piece of hardware. I still have mine from my old SS, wish I could use it on my WS6...thought of doing the automatic to manual swap for antenna, but decided against it. A nice piece though, worth the cash. Don't need mine...

Why cant you put it on your ws6? You can pull out the automatic antenna and put it in...

I might just get one of those this time, I've been through two antennas: I bought a 8" one on ebay that looked like stock but the mast fell fall while driving, I sawed off my original antenna to 8" and glued the ball on top but the ball recently just fell off while driving so might just take the plunge with the BitViper, I just don't like that it's fat lol.

This is an email I got from Bitviper, I am just sharing it.
Here's my information...........
I'm charging $25 for a complete set up shipped any where in the USA.
The antenna is all rubber so the elements don't bother it. It also has a loaded base so you wont notice any change in reception...

This antenna is specific to only those cars that have non-electric antennas...you know the big GM whip types.
Installation is really easy...you just unscrew your stocker, screw in mine...thats it!
I can take PayPal at Pittsa@san.rr.com ... or you can send me a check or money order if you don't mind waiting until it clears.
Don't forget your mailing address (and If your using PayPal make sure your account mailing address is correct) and screen name, and site so I can tie our PM's to your order.

Thanks,
Aaron "BitViper" Pitts

Same price as the BitViper antenna. I would suggest the BitViper, very good quality at a decent price.

Does ebay have the original BitViper brand or do you have to shop somewhere else? I don't want a POS one again.

BitViper isn't a brand. He's a guy who makes them on this site. Just send him a PM. I can guarantee you it isn't a POS and you'll be very satisfied with it. If a bigger company was making it it'd probably be $50.

Nope. The ones on eBay are those cheap Chinese things...which isn't to say I don't like cheap Chinese things, but I and LOTS of others know from experience BitViper's antenna is great and you'll be supporting a forum member at the same time.

That one you linked looks like garbage lol. So I would need to get in touch with BitViper and he'll send me one or does he have to make from scratch? Sorry for the noob question, I just thought BitViper was a brand cause everyone mentioned them lol.

He does make them from scratch (essentially, assuming he has a mold or whatever) so he makes them per order I believe. Just send him a PM and he'll let you know (basically just PP him the cash and you'll get it relatively quickly).
