I have an '00 Z28 with the less-than-awe-inspiring flat hood and it is giving me hood envy.
I have always really liked the SLP hood from the SS Camaros and I am interested in procuring one, or a quality copy of one, but which one?
There are a bunch of people selling SS hoods; please tell me about your good and bad experiences
Thanks
C

hey you got to pay to play....
unless your up for ALOT of work, youll have to pay for a decently shaped and flat hood
also, idk if any other site sponsors offer the hood, and ive already been flagged for posting outside sites (i was trying to help a member with hids)

Are you looking for carbon fiber, or fiberglass?

I am always on the lookout for factory hoods, but most of the stuff you find on EBay and other similar sites is a damaged take-off from a wrecked car. My buddy's buddy found a heavy-rear-ended SS in NY but someone had already snatched the hood off of it.
I really hate the look of carbon fiber, and it seems dumb to pay $300 extra for a cf hood just to paint over it. I could really care less about the weight; my car is a convertible and a cruiser, not a race car, so it is a heavy bitch already.
The fit-and-finish is what I am really asking about; if someone has a brand X aftermarket hood that fits the nuts, and someone else has a brand Y aftermarket hood that fit like crap, it'll help steer me in the right direction.
Thanks for the input
