vfn sunoco because it just looks perfect for the 4th gens. those other hoods do not flow as well and the cowl's are real boxy imo. they look good on older cars like 60-70's but not on ours. anther way of looking at it since i understand that the sunoco is a lot higher than the others is; do it right the first time. there is no point in buying something just because of the price and then 2 years later selling it for half that price and then paying the full amount for the sunoco hood. but i mean if you dont like that one then dont get it, but imo it is the only cowl hood i would go with on a 4th gen.

I went with the sunoco with no line on my car after my accident, i think it flows the best with the ls1 front end...Plus its really light. Not cheap but i love the way my car looks with it.

yeaaa, I think im sold on the Sunoco, even though VFNs 4" cowl is sick and seems to flow better for some odd reason then the other companies..although the Glasstek looks identical? maybe its just me. Looks like I gotta save up for another month to get the sunoco =( damn bills

I like both of the VFN hoods but i dont know if you would be able to see over the 4 inch but thats the one i would pick but im 6'1 so i have no problem with that kinda stuff.

I had a glasstek 4" on my old car...fitment was great!! Remember to trim the lip off the bottom before painting. Its there for support for shipping. The Glasstek is a great hood. I voted for the sunoco however, because in my opinion it looks the best as it better flows with the lines of the car. But I would highly recommend a Glasstek hood!!

Huge cowl hoods on a car that doesn't need them for clearance isn't really cool, especially if the car doesn't at least have some serious ***** to back it up.
It strikes me as even more odd since 4th gens draw air from the front and don't even need height for intakes/air cleaners much less the breathing room between said cleaner and hood.

^ That's a good point that i have thought of before, but then you see one in person and they look so badass it doesn't really matter imo.
The VNF sunoco followed closely by the VNF 4".
