That may not be a big deal to some people but I think it should be mentioned. I'm trying to determine whether I care about tire life or appearance more. Odds are against me getting anything until next year at the earliest anyway so I have time to think about it.
How much faster do you wear through tires when you can't rotate them? Assuming you aren't roasting the tires all the time with burnouts

Well, I don't roast my tires. Ever. For one, my rear end is stock and I have 18x10.5's with 295's lol my rear wouldn't like that much... Also I baby the car for now... I do have the deep dishes in the rear as well. As for rotating, screw that. When it comes time to replace the rears, the fronts will still be fine. I'll figure i'd go through 2 sets of rear tires to one set of fronts.

Yeah if you are not roasting your tires all the time they will last a good bit, honest the look cs tire life is worth going for the look,9 inch reard just look to small on the rear, you need at least a 11,or 10.5 on the rear, you will be much happier going with a wide tire in the rear,

I think 18s look great on a f body, it would be the biggest i would go,but size really depends on the wheel, i really wish they had the c5dd in a 17x11, they teased us with that idea then never made them, i always had a drag setup to put on when i wanna beat on the car/burnouts/race etc, so the street set up last longer

So then the question is do you go with an 8.5" wide or a 9.5" wide front wheel... Turning radius might be a tad better with the narrower wheel (less chance of rubbing the front wheels) but traction would be better with the wider wheel and wider tire, though I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes up front above a 245-ish width front tire.
