tips on polishing

tips on polishing I have already done quite a bit of polishing under the hood. All looks great with the exception of the sides of the a/c canister. There is some very slight lines that are gonna need to be smoothed. The whole thing looks chrome as it sits but these lines are bugging me. I want to sand them smooth but I don't want to screw up what I have done already. Any tips?

If you do a search on the forum, there are a couple of people that give detailed information about this.
Did you have to take your a/c canister out to polish or did you leave it in?

I did a search and didn't come up with what I was looking for. I am just wondering if I can sand the sides without ruining the work I already have into it. And what kind of sandpaper is recommended. Most people probably wouldn't see them but if I am already in the mood to polish I might as well do it right.
I just unbolted the strap that holds it in and pulled it up so I could work on it.

That is beautiful! I did some with the Dremel and the top is perfect. Just the sides need some more tlc. Most of it was by hand though.

You can probably buy a 99 dollar grinder and use a 6in wheel.

Okay, dumb question: What are the special instructions to remove the canister? I'm not all that mechanically inclined when it comes to A/C stuff, but I do know it's pressurized. Be a good time to polish it and add some braided hosing at the same time.
