So I have been working on my build since wednesday. I got it all together today, 12 hour day.
Only ran into a couple snags. When I lowered the engine onto the body, the brake booster vacuum hose got wedged so I had to lift it up again.
My hot wire kit doesnt work, must be a bad relay. I have it still on the car , just not hooked up. I had to drop the tank again.
Connected some spark plug wires to the wrong plugs, lost some nuts, had to go to autozone.
I have about 10 miles on it so far, I will post pics soon.

Yeah, the lift helped alot. But I ran into a problem on letting it down for the last time. one side got stuck and the car just about tipped over. I had to go back up a couple times, finally got it. Gonna call the manufacturer this week.
Car runs great, its on the old tune from the original Streetsweeper cam. No check engine lights or anything. I also have a new monster level 3, no chatter at all.
Oil Pressure is about 40 at idle seems good driving, doesnt move that much either.

Im glad I am done, I cant believe how much work it really is, I have about 24 hours assembling the motor and getting the car all back together. My dad helped me torque down the lifters and my bro came over and helped for about 5 hours so it cut my time in half. He worked on one thing while I did another.
Thanks for all the compliments. I just had the house built so I kinda planned around what I wanted to do with the garage. I had the garage door moved up to the ceiling and bought a jackshaft mount door opener so it wasnt in the way of the lift.
The cabinets are new also, from sears along with the workbench. Then the motor blew and the price places charge for labor, I figured i would do it myself, I was going to by a cherry picker and do it that way, but I said screw it, bought the lift, at least I will always use it.
I will post more pics when the weather is nice, its raining here today. Car drives alot better with this cam and head combo and its not even tuned for it.

Pretty good looking car and build OP. Me and my fiance' are looking to buy a house our selves and one thing I told her was there better be a garage big enough for me to play in, haha. But the setup you have looks pretty good as far as the garage and the lift.

I have 10' ceilings, you have to get quite the garage if you want the car to go all the way up. I can have the car at the full height, 50" with my door open. If I put a taller car, the door as to be shut. Mine is 20x20, just have to make use of the space good.

Its actually a Z, my old 98 was a ss. I attempted to get numbers, but paint chips got in the injectors from painting the rail, I only put down 360 rwhp, it was a mess, breaking up and backfiring. I found this out once I was home diagnosing. Its runs great now. Going to go back to the dyno in a couple weeks, still working out some bugs.
I had everything apart and alot is new so I am going thru it tightening stuff to make sure it didnt come loose.

Looks awesome and bet the numbers are going to be killer. Even though its common as hell a suncoco hood and ss spoiler would complete the looks of this animal.

Thanks ! I would like a new hood and wing but I just put a boat load into, need to hold off for awhile. Although I just bought a aeroforce interceptor gauge and pod. Need to monitor my new motor a little better.
