Default New mod?- Painted headlight bezels.

I know it's something that not a lot of people see, and if they do it's dark or raining, but I had the paint laying around and wanted something to do. So, I painted the headlight bezels to match the body. The dupli-color Arctic White matched up really well. I think it cleans it up a bit while the lights are up, and as often as mine like to get stuck, I'll be needing that.

I dig it, although I think gloss black or maybe satin black would look a little better..

That's...really cool actually. I'll have to ask the shop to do it when I get mine painted.

What type is your hood and where can I buy it? It looks awesome.

I would say maybe go with a different shade of black then what the factory put on them. It doesn't look all that bad but I think it could look a little better.

Not really feeling it on this color, but perhaps it would look cool to nightshade your lamps to get kind of an "inverted" or opposite look? Just an idea.

On my Firehawk (black) the shop took them off and painted them gloss black with the car. Look good but you have to look for it to notice it.

Like they come stock? lol.
I THINK mine have been painted gloss black. Or maybe they just haven't faded nearly as much as others I've seen.

Tint the head lamps? As if our stock lighting didn't suck enough.

^^riiiight I suppose I should have said re-paint as they were probably faded like many others. I do like them white, maybe they would look better with some projectors.

I respect what you did but I do not like it. Makes it look like it was involved in a front end collision and everything got sprayed with the same shot. I would not do it to mine. Big props for trying something different.

That's kinda cool, and I like the idea. I am almost thinking of doing this, only thing is I am going for a red/black scheme and this might be to much red...but on the other hand if I don't like it, they can always be repainted.

I think what really ruined it for me is the "Inverted CETA":

Not a fan either. I'm all about painting the bezel but I think you should paint it a contrast color which unfortunately is black for you.

That inverted CETA picture is possibly the worst thing I have ever seen done to these cars headlights...

The hood is a Superhawk. US Exotics used to make them, but don't any more. PM me for contact info on the guy that is making them now.

To everyone else, thanks for your opinions and input. I like the way they turned out, and if I ever change my mind it's not a big deal to go to a different color or go back to black. Between the grilles on the hood and the bird on the stud plate, I think there's still enough contrast on the front of the car.

For those interested, I used 600 grit sandpaper and just made sure they were really really clean, like painting anything else. Dupli-color paint and clear, following the directions on the can.
