The super 44's are straight flow mufflers not crossflow like the 80's, right? If so, how are they going to fit?

I have the 80 series on my LT1 car with shorty headers and no cats. Personally I think its no louder than stock vettes. I can tell you its not loud enough to overcome some of the rattles and sounds from going over a bumpy road. But it does sound damned good when I can hear it. It sounds really good from outside the car.

My LS1 has a LM1 or 2 depending on what mood I'm in that month. They are both loud but sound great as well.

My car dynoed 397 rwhp thru the flowmaster and 405 rwhp with the cutout open. I liked the way it sounded but did not like the tips or that it wasnt stainless.

I have a flowmaster 44 on mine. I love the sound of flows, and I put down like 480hp so who cares if I am losing a few thru it. The sound outweighs the loss at my level...

I run a V Force on mine - it's aggressive due to it being a single chamber muffler with a nice rumble at idle and flows well too - plus it doesn't cost very much

I hate to jack this thread wide open but flow masters are great mufflers and sound the best in my opinion that is IF YOU RUN THE RIGHT SERIES. Everyone that says there crap run a 80 series cat back. The 10 series 1 chamber race mufflers sound great (have an old school big block sound), and they flow great support up to 1,000 HP without restrictions. I am currently running LTs true duals with x pipe running in two 10 series race mufflers which have a sound clean and crisp. Feel free to PM me if you need additional information SLPs are an over rated and over priced straight pipe to be completely honest.

Here is a Video of a set up close to mine.

Yes its very similar to one I had installed on my car, I had the Loud mouth 1 version which is louder. The only problem you may run into with doing just a slp resonator is that is that as pictured in your link goes before the cross-flow muffler and there is just pipes where your stock muffler is mounted.

Save up for the lm1 system or try to find it used. They sell often cuz once people put longtubes and an ory on they tend to want to change the lm1 to something less raspy with headers.

+1 for the entire system... I also think you should stay away from the LM system if you plan on doing long tubes and Off road Y pipe. At 2500 RPM with ORY LTs LM1 it sounded like a machine gun going off with the amount of rasp although I could set off car alarms on the plus side.

I live around 10 miles from uncles house and during the pitch quiet evenings when there were no leaves on trees. He could hear me going through the gears on my way home about 8 miles away. I was on the phone with him and there was about a 10-12 second delay between the cell (sound in car) until they could hear it in person. You can call me on BS.... but it is the truth.

I believe it. My dad says he can hear me for miles away when I leave his house and head out of town. (about 5 miles and a small little town)
