4 hours?!!

I was done in less than an hour, and that included the blister-inducing part and claying it. I'd surmise anyone who is removing their moldings with factory adhesive (the majority of people), will not spend any more than an hour -- all you're doing is heating and pulling.

I also don't see how fishing line would make things any easier. Would someone please elaborate?

Now we're going to have a debate about how long it takes to remove side moldings, smh lol. The adhesive wasn't factory and when I pulled, most of the adhesive stayed on the paint instead of coming off together with the moldings which is what made the job more time consuming.

No holes -- just some goo that comes right off

Contemplating doing this, but I know my car was painted where the side moldings are, and Im not sure if they removed them or not. Guessing from what it looks like, a tad extra paint build up in the door, I doubt they did.

I'll check later when it stops raining.

EDIT: I stand corrected. Said screw it, went outside to check, pushed down on the little piece and it fell off, in like 40 degree weather lol. Guess Ill bring her into the garage and bust out momma's hairdryer and do it! Also realized how scratched my car is. -___-

I did'nt read all the post's but did any one run into a dark strip of paint after removing strip. due to rest of paint fading and the paint under strip not? Have noticed it when people put bumper sticker or magnetic emblem on paint surface.
