Default SLP SS grille on Z28, what to replace SS emblem with?

I'm getting ready to pick up an SLP SS grille for my Z28 for a good deal. I'm going to pull the SS emblem off and repaint it. Where can I find a bowtie that will fit in the same spot the SS emblem was? I'm open to any other suggestions as well.

Emblempros would be your best bet.

Try to find a bowtie emblem that will cover the SS logo and curve to the grill. Use emblem tape to hold it on to the SS logo.

I'm gonna go get it tomorrow and then go to a couple local junkyards and look for some bowtie emblems on different vehicles. I was actually thinking about trying a bowtie off of a Cavalier. I think some of them had blue bowties and they would match my car nicely.

Red or silver outlined SS's...and would you want to sell them?

I did the same thing. I grabbed a bowtie off the trunk of a lumina/monte carlo and it fit pretty good and matched my blue nicely. I will say it was a little thick though.

The previous owner had actaully put a either 2010-11 Camaro SS or TrailBlazer SS emblem on there. I will sell that if I can get it off without damaging it and anybody wants it.

Do you have any pics?

You could always sell the SLP SS grille and use the money to buy the SLP bowtie grill.

I got the grille off of a once beautiful '99 Hugger Orange SS that got wrecked. It went through a barb wire fence so the grille was a little scratched up. It needed a little work so I wouldn't be able to get much out of it. I found a blue bowtie off of a Chevy Metro that is gonna fit perfect. I'll post pics up when I'm done.

lets see pictures of when its done, might look a little weird because the front of the grille is shaped different, behind the ss sticker is actually ss and behind the bowtie sticker is a bowtie, but i could see it working

I was trying to use a blue bowtie off of a Chevy Metro which was the perfect size but needed to be bent to work. I put it in the oven to heat it up and make it more flexable but it ended up ruining the blue in the middle. I've got another blue bowtie off of a Cavalier I'm going to try. I'm going to try to get the blue piece out and then heat the emblem and bend it. After that I'll try to glue the blue back in. If this doesn't work then I'm going to get Roger from Emblem Pros to make me a stainless steel one. I'll have pics up when I get it done.

Here's the finished product, sorry it took a while to get it done and posted. I looked and looked for a bowtie to and ended up getting Roger at Emblem Pros to make me a custom one.
