Any Updates? I really want to see what the car looks like on the ground with those black C5 DD wheels.

I haven't made a lot of progress lately, but I've killed a few birds.

I picked up a set of Koni/stranos and got the rears installed. (Don't worry about the panhard, a watts link is going in)

I also took a trip to Dallas and had my t56 built by Jason@texas drivetrain performance. Fresh stage 2+ some other upgrades. I also gave it a fresh coat of paint.

While in dfw I also had to have my roll cage replaced by Wolfe racecraft due to powdercoat issues, so it was removed and replaced with another cage exactly like it without the powdercoat being all messed up. Major props to Dan@ Wolfe racecraft for fixing me up, and taking care of business. Thanks Dan.

The slow of progress is kind of bitter sweet for me. Totally worth it though.

[/QUOTE]

What did you have to do to get the 10.5's on the front? Are these from OE wheels?

The 18"x10.5's bolt right up in the front with stock brakes. These are oewheels that have been powdercoated. The 315's ever so slightly rub on the spindle up front, but I won't be running a 315 up front anyways, plus with the small spacer required to run the ctsv brakes, its not an issue for me regardless.

^^^^Harbor freight jack! Getting it done at home with average joe tools = WIN!!

I had one for a few years before it let go... FYI Costco has awesome low profile jacks for around $100.00... dual piston, fast action and it'll fit under the Vette!

Your car is an inspiration! I've followed this thread from the start and can't wait to see the final pics/vids. Great work man!

Thanks buddy! I actually don't own a jack at the moment, haha. The harbor freight jack is actually my buddies who owns the miata were putting the ls1 into.

I'll definitly go check out Costco though! Thanks for the heads up.

Yes sir! It won't be leaving the garage until it heads to the paint shop and its been in the same spot for 2+ years. Hopefully I can have it buttoned up within a year.

Thanks for the kind words. I'll update as much as possible.

I haven't had much time or money to work on the car much less buy any parts. I managed to buy and install an improved racing oil pan baffle. Should be a trick little piece and should really help on the track.

Despite the lack of cash flow and free time i picked up a set of black suede corbeau forza seats for a Christmas present for myself. I love these seats. Fit, form, function is all there. And a great price.

I don't think I posted this earlier, but I managed to pick up an Mgw shifter for the built tranny. Should be nice on the road.

I also managed to pick up a lot of -20 an fittings that ill be using to plumb my radiator to water pump lines. This should make for a really clean setup once finished.
I'll follow up with this once I get the pump, and have the radiators bungs welded on.

On to another little progress I picked up a set of front tires for this thing finally, 295/35/18 front and 315/30/18 rear. It should grip like a mother ******. Especially with the full tubular setup and Koni/ strano shock spring combo. Soon to be paired with sans sways also.

I had them mounted and balanced and managed to get the front suspension mocked up so I could install the longer wheel studs, and test fitment with the wheel/ tire combo and the ctsv brakes and spacers.
Fit like a glove and looks killer too.

Last but not least, a couple more pictures of the seats, cause I find myself sitting in the car pretending I'm hauling *** sitting in these seats more often than I'm working on the damn thing.
