Thanks for all the responses and the next time I post an update it will be home in the garage and fitted out will all the "stuff".. It might be spending a week at the race car cage fabricator
IMO, if I were buying a fun car as a weekend cruiser such as a vette or viper I would spend the money this way. And I would have Steve build it.

Steve now that you have a system in place start production! I have seen to many folks SPEND 90k for a lot less, seriously. Keep the price at 50k and you could sell them all day long.

I will start the first dealership for you, start with the basics, choice of color, interior, rims ect. and go from there.

DO IT! START NOW!!

Seriously, if you made cars like this on a regular basis, i think you would sell a ton. I'd rather have that car over a 50k vette. Keep that in mind man, you could make some serious cash doing it (sound like u already are making tons of $ by how much you are putting into it )
Keep up the great job man.

Thanks for all the comments.. I would love to design and build cars for a living. Most of stuff is more "mellow" and has a traditional or factory look to it . I guess my strength would be in knowing what looks right together and when to stop.. oh, and an eye for detail

Someday when I retire its something I would like to do.. The problem is that in SoCal you cant throw a rock without hitting a "car shop".. maybe when we retire out-of-state .. Thanks though

I get the same comments on my car project too. They always say, "Hey if its gonna be worth 100K when its done why not just sell it and build another?" Because... it's just not that simple. There's way too much sweat, blood and tears with these things, not to mention the stress factor of all the purchasing, waiting, etc. Of course there's a ton of fun in it too and the satisfaction of saying "I built it" and the comradery of having your friends work on it with you is irreplaceable. I'm keeping mine!

Andy, your Berger is butt-ugly. I think you need to send it to me for closer inspection.

Like the others have said, I'd rather have a car like this than a new Corvette, thats why I didn't just buy a Corvette.

Steve, maybe you could start your own "LS1 vehicle miracle makeovers" show!

Now there is an idea. Start with that junkyard pic of the motor and look at it now.

Steve, I saw some pics of your old SS that had the braided hoses over your radiator and such. They looked great! Where did you get them? Do they just slide over the factory hoses or are they direct replacements? They look like they have fittings? Did you have to modify them to fit? Are they a kit? Thanks for any help. You have the only LS1 I have seen them on. I need them!

I think that's a secret, 'cause every time I ask, I never get a response.
