69 LS1 project update.. pics

The bodyshop part of this build is most definetly the most frustrating.. its just not something that goes fast.. lots of details and every time I turn around im next day air shipping some damn part that we need. But, Im keeping focused on the final prize at the end..
Fenders are in and we have found some GOOD replacement side glass.. Power windows are installed and they work great (and FAST).. If you notice in the pics i am using my trademark blue washers but instead of bowtie bolts ive gone with chrome button head bolts for a cleaner look..
So, here are the latest pics:
The LS1 just looks so right in there..

and to think.. it still needs to be color sanded, another coat of clear and to be sanded again and buffed

It will be better once we run the air filter to its final location down in the ex-batter tray area..

The rest can be seen here: http://www.z069.us/69/btb/back2body.htm
Stripes next week, let set two days then colorsand/buff and install the glass and window stainless.. after that it needs to be aligned, mufflers and a trip to the custom roll-cage guy for a little chrome-moly safety stuff

Then dynomat and a couple seats so i can go to Super Chevy.. after that it goes in for the REAL interior..

-- but in the grand scheme of what people spend $$$ wise on first gen Camaros it cant compete.. i mean there are 1st gens that people spend $100k plus on. But, considering how much im going to drive it and run it then it should be in pretty good shape.. no trialers unless i break it or if I take it to a show a 1000 miles away.. Probley the weak point of the car (show wise) will be the undercarriage.. it will be clean and presentable but more functional than anything.. ive just never been able to justify a blingin undercarriage on a car your going to drive. The interior is also going to be simple and understated.. with Recaro Speeds in a fabric similar to my old camaro's seats.. a clean dash and such. Blacks, greys and silvers with a few blue accents.
Tony: Cant wait to cruise next to your beast.. we will need LS1tech badging for that event

jmX: Dont be a hater on the Pewter/Red deal.. you KNOW that boring Pewter color needs the help

Thanks for the comments guys.. I cant wait till its home in MY garage again..
