Bought my car to get tires and it was very dirty yesterday so I washed it today and I had never noticed this, but i find bubbles in my paint!! what causes this? the sun?
Its on the piece between the t-tops and back windshield...

Bubbles in the Paint (Roof Panel)
Mine is in the shop for that right now as I type this. If this is the roof panel (where mine is) there is a TSB on it.
I have posted this several times in reply to others so maybe I should post a new thread with that subject line with the link so all will know.
These bubbles start showing after 2 - 3 years.
Mine is getting replaced in warranty.
Here is the link on the TSB:

You must have adobe acrobat to read it. Many documents are in this format.
Download it here: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
Just put in your operating system: Windows 98, Me, XP....
And your internetconnection speed.
You will need acrobat to read a lot of stuff that you look up on the net.
You may want to see if the "corrosion or rust through" portion of the warranty will cover it. Bring a copy of the TSB with you. Hey...it's worth a shot.

Yeah it's caused by the adhesive they used bleeding through the material and bubbling the paint. There is only one fix and that is to replace the roof. If they try to repaint it will only return after awhile. Had my roof replaced about a year ago.

They had better not mess up my car! It is a scary thing having them do that type of work on it. It didn't leak before they touched it and hope it does not after either.

Take your care up to the dealership and see what they say, Ive had some luck with some repairs on my cars, My truck had the fuel gauge go out and the warrenty was up, I looked for a woman service person because I usually have better luck with them. I have had several things fixed without paying and they said that the cars were under warrenty. You may just need to give some extra attention to the people at the dealership
