[pics] just got done using the new NXT Tech Wax and Color X
My opinion:
It looks great, but feels dry to thje touch. I've used their 3-stage system and that one felt very glossy to the touch.
This time I just washed the car using Dawn, applied a coat of the Color X, then applied the NXT Tech wax. Both products are made by Meguiars. In a few feeks I will do it again but I'll use a polish as well. Looks frikkin great though but I'll have to see tomorrow afternoon if the Color X got rid of the swirls as advertised.
Anywho, here's the pics:

Looks really good...Definatly let us know about the swirls. It looks like you have a black car...so would have definatly of had swirls. How did you apply the wax's? Buffer or by hand? And you did one coat of each, correct? I am just curious, as I let my dad use the COLORx on his MG, and it didn't turn out exactly like I expected, although, he could have done some things wrong...I'm not sure.

I think a lot of people put dawn on their paint. It's not a high concentration or anything...its just somthing to help strip off the old waxes and stuff because it's really basic. I don't think a little bit would hurt, but I could be ignorant.

Yeah I just used it to strip all the old stuff I had on there. I use Meguiars car wash regularly.
I did it by and just to see how it would look but next time I will do it with my buffer. And yes, I did one coat of each. It was getting dark so I didn't want to do more than that.

I sed the stuff too a few days ago. And yes, I used Dawn as a prep also. Then I claybarred, used Color X, then the Tech wax twice. The the nexy day it rained! The only thing I don't like is the fact that just afew hours later, I already had a slight layer of dust on the car. Most polishes and waxes are dust magnets where Zaino doesn't seem to be as much. Here are pics with the Tech Wax:

When you apply a new wax, you use Dawn to strip the old wax and solvents off of the paint before you put the new coat of wax on. NEVER use dawn as an alternative to regular car washing.

I had a cousin during HS years that would wash his dad's maroon '77 Monte Carlo he drove to school...with one of those red brillo pads and said they worked better but wondered why the water would turn red.
This was also the same cousin that came to me one day (I lived next door) and said his dad told him to add a 1/2 quart of oil to the car and wondered "is this the right place for it?" while pointing to the radiator cap...

Car looks pretty good BigBlackZ, but it's looked that good in just about every pic you've posted.
Oh and Baddog, you stole my old *custom* avatar so I had to change mine

I see now. I didn't think of it as an insult, because you never really know I "may have" had swirls before, so it was a legit question. But It's never had them, so I can't help with that and as long as I have it it won't have them!!

Oh I'm sorry haven't been able to check here too often.
The swirls did not go away like I imagined them to, but a large part of them is gone. Most of the paint defects are gone as well. One time I used an orbital on high speed and it sort of scratched the hell out of my fender, but now that is gone as well. Good products, I'd use them again.
HotRod, thanks.
