Cleaning wiper blades
So I just washed the car, cleaned the windshield with Invisible Glass, and treated it with Rain X. What do you think is the best thing to clean the wiper blades with? I'm reading rubbing alcohol, but I would think that would dry the wiper blades out and decrease their life. After reading rubbing alcohol from several different sources though, I'm guessing it must be ok. And if rubbing alcohol works, couldn't I also just use the Rain X to clean the blades off?

I cleaned my blades with soap and water. Once fully dry I went over them with back to black and left them UP overnight to fully dry. No streaks and the they clean the windshield very well.

I dunno, I used rubbing alcohol on another car and they seemed to dry out. They started making streaking noises every time they were on which got annoying really fast. I think I would try soap and water, possibly goo-gone for sap, before using alcohol personally.

I use invisible glass, spray it on an old microfiber towel, then wipe away. There will be black residue. I've had my rain x latitude wipers on for about a year now and they still work like the day I got them. Keep a coat of wax on the windshield.
