my fix for bad headlight lenses
wanted to fix my headlights and none of the polishes work well, nor do I like the halo look.
stock headlights:
I bought the cheap halos, but I had a plan:
heated in oven for 10 min at 300 degrees and seperated lenses
painted stock headlights, and reglued halo lenses:
half the cost of new gm headlights, and a custom look

I just did the same thing my car had halos on it when I bought it. I got some stockers with cloudy lenses and did what you did. Found out that when you pull those halos apart, without the shroud they look stock

Nice job man I did this a couple years ago as well when I got tired of the halo look. Only noticeable difference when using the halo headlight is the slight gap around the inside of the lense from removing the halo insert but a lot of people dont even notice it. My stock headlights were not reuseable at all so thats why I chose to just take out the insert and reuse the new lights.
Still though if you can get the halo's cheap enough you can have a real inexpensive set of new looking head lights.
BTW beautiful car!!!
