Just something to add here, If your really worried about money, the more rubber on the road is going to increase rolling friction and take a small toll on mileage. Its not going to be that much but in the city its gets more noticeable when combined with city driving. I would do suspension first because it looks so much better and then you can find those TT2s pretty cheap to fill in the wheel well. Or like someone else said, get some wheels for cheap and sell yours and put that toward suspension, its really up to you

I'm not so much worried about money, I just like doing things in stages, and I'm at a point where I can spend some dough on an upgrade. Obviously I like the TTII's, as I bought a set of 4, but I always wanted to snag some wide rears. I'm still on the fence. Here are some shots of the car with the TTII's on it, 17x9.5 all around.

I would say lower it. Bmr has a lowering kit package on their site for around $500. Comes with 4 1.25 inch drop springs.com adjustable ph bar and something else. Then you still have some extra $ for wheels and tires
