Default $1000 to spend, 2 options. Help me decide.

Greetings. I am at a crossroads on what I want to do next appearance wise. Here are my 2 options.

1. Buy a shock/lowering spring setup...most likely Bilstein/BMR. I will likely have to pickup a adjustable PH bar as well...putting me pretty close to $1K.

2. Buy some 17x11 Torq Thrust II's to go along with the 17x9.5's I have to get that nice meaty rubber going out back. Wheels/tires + shipping will be right around $1k as well.

The wheels/tires will be more "instant gratifcation" as I will likely have to find someone to help do the front suspension. Thoughts? Pics of the car are in my profile BTW.

I say springs/shocks, unless you have some snowflake rims on the car LOL

I would do wheels but not TTII's. Way to common and over done.

I would say get these http://oewheelsllc.com/Wheels_3/Whee...Wheels-Black_5 and you can still fit a meaty tire in the back.

Hey leave me out of this.

Lmao. I say do the shocks & springs. You already have awesome WS6 wheels, it's gonna look great once it's dropped. The TT2's would look good, but I don't think it would look complete until the car was lowered.

DO THE SPRINGS!

Maybe springs and shocks first, so that you can see what size wheels you can put on. I plan on putting springs and shocks on first before i go the wheel and tire route. I would rather buy the wheels from OE Wheels then get some TT II`s....i think those wheels are used way to much on our cars. They look great, but a little played out.

I agree with this, but good luck keeping close to $1000 with them being 18"

I had to make this decision in May and decided to go with the koni/bmr setup before I got wheels. Please lower the car first, changes the way it feels so much and looks way better. Plus, you might be able to pick up a set of used tt2 rears for way cheaper than buying new. Also, stick with the tt2s, they are popular for a reason. Much higher quality wheel than that corvette replica wheel in the link above.

To me nothing really sets off a stock car like aftermarket wheels. Adding my anthracite TTM's is probably my favorite mod to date. So that would be my choice.

I already have a set of 4 17x9.5 TTII's, but 2 have a slight bend in the lip from hitting a nasty pothole. Therefore I have 2 good 17x9.5 TTII's, and thought it might be a good opportunity to snag to 17x11's. Man its a tough call.

I should have just pulled the trigger in May and got the Koni/BMR combo when it was on sale. Damn.

figure out what wheels you want and which suspension will go with it, function & form!

I 'd say suspension first, and then new wheels. Less is more with these cars.

1k Is enough to do both, if your willing to compromise, ditch the phb, and get a set of used TTs

Not a good idea. A lowered car needs an adjustable PHB. Especially with 17x11s. 315s are going to be $400+ unless he gets shittytomos.

I thought about widening the WS6 wheels...perhaps that's what I should do.
