thanks for your input.
Not sure why that was posted in this particular thread, but here is the answer. Your 98 Camaro has the computer in front of the firewall (under the hood) on the passenger side. There is no "chip" on these cars, all custom tuning is done via the OBD-II port, which is that rectangle electrical plug on the underside of your dash (driver's side). The only way you will know if it has been tuned is to have a custom tuner download your current tuning program to see if it is stock.

As for an SLP forum for SS owners, your Camaro SS is just an appearance package and all of the other forums apply for this car.

Back on topic!

The rear seat delete looks kick-***. I really hate seeing the holes in the carpet when guys remove the rear seats. I would probably do the same thing you did, but I actually use the rear seats in my convertible to haul my 4-year old son around. The seats are good sized for children

Thats looks way better and would be a great place to put sub's in a vert but keep in mind most sub's need a real box.

I don't know exactly how much it weighed, my guess is 12 lbs. As far as subs go, it really doesn't matter to me, I never drive it with the top up, so the audio system is just backround music in a 'vert. In a coupe, 2-8" subs with a "free air" design should do well in these boxes if you sealed them a bit better to avoid rattles. I think this mod is best suited for convertibles, since you coupe guys have plenty of cargo room.

Looks awesome. I made a rear seat delete for my Mach about a month ago. It was a fun, relaxing, rewarding, little project.

Looks good man, but the red boot definitely looks OUT of place! You might want a few more red accents to make it stick out less.

I hear you man, I am adding Sony red speakers in the back side panels and a red fire extinguisher between the 2 rear shelves. A set of Trans-Am seats with the SS headrest embroidered and red stiching on the seams. I don't want to go overboard on the red.

I have been wanting to do something like this to
my 'vert too. It looks great. Do you have any
trouble with the top flapping, though, or the
plastic covers not wanting to stay put, top-
down-at-speed? That's what's kept me from
going that way, when my rear seat is down the
top seems to flap around a lot more on the
Interstate.

Nicely done. One of these days one of you guys will make a molded part for that area and change the entire carpet. I'd like to see some speakers back there maybe on the sides.

Jimmyblue, the upper panel actually reduces the uplift on the boot covers from the wind because the wind can't get under them any more, my exhaust sound better also, it has less drone from the LoudMouth.

That is awesome! Never seen that before. My only change would be to use a router on the edge so it's curved versus a 90*.
Awesome job
