Default Stripper Scent

So, if any of you guys use Chemical Guys products, have you ever used their odor eliminator and neutralizer called stripper scent? I've been looking at quite a few products just to see what's out there and ran across Chemical Guys air fresheners.

Just curious if anyone has ever tried it. A friend of mine just bought a car that had been smoked in and is looking for something to try to remove the odor.

Thoughts? Opinions? I thought about picking up just a little 4 oz one to see what it smells like.

Don't try to mask the odor. Shampoo all the carpets/mats and extract. If the seats are cloth then those will need to be done too. I would hit every panel with apc at 10:1 and then a protectant/quick interior detailer.

The stripper scent smells nice but from experience does t last long.

I have used an odor bomb - smoke eliminator with great success.

There are also companies that use ozone machines to ELIMINATE odors. You can call your local property management (rental) company and probably get the name and number to at least 3. It sounds like a gimmick, but trust me it works. I'm in the Property Management business and have used it before.

I would say pull the seats out and go to town with a shampoo machine.

I told him to shampoo before anything. The previous owner liked the smoke and fabreze scent...

You can also cut an apple in half and leave it on the center console overnight or for a full day without driving it or opening the windows. I know it sounds weird but it actually works, the apple absorbs a lot of the smell. It might not take it all away but it'll definitely help if you can't shampoo the interior any time soon.

Used car dealerships often have good shampoo equipment and ozone machines. Check them out. They may work on your car (for a fee).

Doesn't last long but it really does smell what cheap hookers smell like.... err.... what you would imagine them to smell like

I would pay to have the interior shampooed and extracted, it makes the interior just have a nice natural smell and it has lasted 2 years since the
time I had it done. I don't use scents or sprays or anything like that. I like the clean smell.

If you just did your hookers on the hood instead of the front seat, you wouldnt have that problem

I was glad to see that I wasn't the only one thinking about strip club when clicking on this thread.
I was expecting to see a stripper car scent hanging from the mirror.

We used to use this at the shop I worked for last year. It smells really good actually but I will say not to "mask" odor. That's the equivalent of trying to fix rust with paint...you may not see it as bad right now but its not getting any better until you fix it.

Theres this product called "blaze away" that literally kills all odors. Its very over powering at first, but then remains in a pleasing way.

btw 310 views and not even 40 comments... epic title

I bought a 98 camaro that had been smoked in .. and I had great results with a cleaner you can pick up at any parts store called "Tuff Stuff" in a bright yellow can ..

I pulled the seats and sprayed and vacuumed and scrubbed and got it all out... worked great ... went through2 cans and maybe 20 old rags... I just kept scrubbing it until the rags stopped turning brown ...

On a side note i also used this to take permanent marker out of carpet.. ( my nephew found it and got creative )
