Default How to change color of SLP Bowtie Grill Sticker?

I am picking up a used SLP Bowtie Grille cheap off a buddy. The front red bowtie sticker or whatever it is was knocked off and so I have to either get a new one or paint a bowtie on.

Where can I find just the red sticker?

I am thinking of painting the bowtie Maroon. here is how the cars looks, so red or maroon?

its actually a hard plastic/urethane (not sure exactly) piece, it's not a decal. I'd contact roger at Emblempros to see if he can make a replacement emblem to put on there. I'm sure they could. Never seen the bowtie available forthe SLP grille for sale on its own.

if you do want a decal, we have a couple vendors and members here that do vinyl decal work who might be able to get one made for you if you provide the dimensions. Or you could always try a local graphics shop

Mine was painted, but I had the original piece that came with the grille. If you can find one, it'd be easy to go about painting it. I just don't think it'll be easy at all to find someone selling the bowtie separately, unfortunately. And I'd be surprised if you could actually get it from SLP.

as far as getting a nice piece similar to what came with it, I think Roger would probably be your best option. this guy->> https://ls1tech.com/forums/member.php?u=13148

Did you or someone else paint it?
Was it easy to take it off the grille?

I think I read somewhere its the same bowtie that was used on the lt1 camaro grill. On another note it would be awesome if Rodger could make them out of acrylic, I'm not sure if thats possible though because the emblem is curved.

I did it, just scuffed it, and sprayed/clear coated it.. rattle can of course lol.

When you get it new, the bowtie isn't yet attached, so no need to remove it. It has an adhesive backing, so to remove it, you'll just need some fishing line to cut through the tape stuff. A heat gun and/or some Goof Off/Goo Gone would help getting any remaining residue left on the grill or bowtie. Paint it, and then reapply with more double sided tape.
