This is just my opinion, but the biggest anyone should go on these cars is 18", and even that is pushing it, in my opinion.

To each their own, however.

Nice car!!
I would have loved 18's but this style only came in 19 and up .

Your car looks really good! When I first got my black T/A, the paint was almost as bad, luckily I worked in the body shop @ the old dealership I was at, so it looks amazing now after a little paint work and full correction. I can appreciate the time it took you to get it back on track, I know firsthand lol.

Nice restoration. It's a shame that the clear coat has already failed on several areas of the car, but for under $4K, you did quite well still imo.

Its not the factory clear that is failing, its whatever they used when they shot the flames. I have seen cheap clear coat/or clear coat shot wrong fail like this. But as long as I stay on top of it and keep it protected it should look good till ready for a new paint job.

So did you compound off all the old clear on the roof? Great turnaround!

With a high speed buffer you are removing some of the clear coat and that's why you must be careful not to sit in one place because it will burn right through the paint. But yes I did remove all the faded/sun damaged clear with compound and buffer. Then use wax to protect the remaining clear coat so it doesn't fade again.

A lot of big detailing shops have a meter that measure how much clear coat you have, unfortunately I cant afford one lol.

Thanks Ram, thanks for the help to, she still makes a little bit of noise from the rear but I have read the torsens are a bit noisy so who knows. I have to start doing the maintence stuff on it like the bad sway bar mounts we saw but it will happen in time

I am pretty sure they cut the springs in the front, thinking of doing the heater hose thing in the back to bring it down some till I can afford springs.
