You wouldn't have to worry about the blackouts melting right away I wouldn't think, but the fog light lenses will eventually melt causing the blackouts to melt anyway. If I can find my fog lights I will take pictures showing how they melt.

My suggestion for you would be to buy some LT1 style fog lights with the glass lenses instead of the plastic ones that came on the LS1 birds. I doubt I put HIDs back in my fogs though because I'm afraid the plastic back will still melt like on my old ones.
