Default No Rush Interior.

I have a 2000 Firehawk black M6 with Ebony interior. I went to Georgia for the holidays and bought another set. Turns out I bought a complete set that was dark grey and not black. Kinda pissed but now I have enough interior pieces to try somethings out. Was curious of ideas you guys may have so that I can try them. I need to know supplies as well. I was going to fiber glass them then paint and clear coat. But I was thinking about doing a suede on everything, the leather panels I was thinking about a lime green. The reason for lime green is because when I get done, my paint job will be next. I am going with a flat black, the white firehawk letters with the lime green feather, a set of CCW's in flat black ( i think its satin black on their site) with a white pin strip, and the calipers will powder coated the lime green and the line that is under the pontiac on the rear bumper will be pin stripped in lime green. Anyways...... Just trying to figure out some good options for the interior. And I am doing every piece. I am also going to delete the sun visors. So there will be no holes there. Any ideas would be great and some how to. I have been reading other peoples ideas but its more like they have already decided and most dont have a write up so that others can do it too.

Sell the firehawk and find a t/a that needs a paint job and interior for alot less than what you will get for the hawk

I would never sell my hawk. But my car needs a new paint job and the owner prior let the interior go to waste. I have already re-built the ls1 and trans. I am in no rush to get this done. I would probably not get that much for the car anyways just because of the interior so I might as well make it the way I want it. It wont be sloppy though. I dont do chrome and I will use the extra pieces to "test it" first. You think I should leave it as stock as possible since its a hawk?

or shouldn't i guess

My 02 formula hawk was in the same shape. Some idiot got paint all over the interior and must have dumped 25 icee's on the carpet. I was in the same position- found a clean graphite interior from a wrecked car. I ended up converting it all. Graphite pieces are very cheap and easy to find.

True- ebony makes it more desireable but only if its not destroyed.

Do what you want. It's a Trans Am with a hood. If you're never gonna sell it then you don't have to worry about ruining the (seemingly) already ruined value of the car.

Suede interior would be my vote over the cheap plastic crap that gm probably used.

Dude do what makes you happy, your gonna have to drive it. Suede would be interesting. Anything is better than factory, they cheaped out on it. I'm thinking of two tone orange/black leather in my SS

People need to stop whining about ruining a "special edition"... Who gives a ****. I cut one up, built a beautiful car out of it. They aren't worth much more than a base one, especially if it is showing its age, they are not sought after so much that someone would rather have a POS "barn find firehawk" vs a restored Trans Am. Geeze people, get off your keyboards and go mod your cars. haha.

You know they make special dyes for this type of stuff. You could dye every dark grey piece to black or ebony easily.

I could care less that he is choosing to do it to a firehawk...I was more concerned with the description he was giving....sounds god awful to me. But if he likes it...more power to him!

All the decisions I have made are not set in stone. It's more of the theme that I'm going with. I'm sure I will change some things. Someone mentioned a dye for plastics. Any more info on this?

Rit dye works pretty damn well. Or you can just call a local shop and see what they would charge you to dye them.

Thanks for the info. Ill look it up. That may be a better salution than trying to buy another set of interior. I'm guessing you've tried this? If so, does it look like the factory black interior?
