I tint my windows on every car I have, plus my wife's car. It keeps the car cooler in the summer, protects the interior from getting faded, keeps the guys headlights behind you from blinding you, gives you privacy, plus it gives you that mysterious look.

Always tint when you can! Maine is actually pretty good about tint, 30% on the front 2 windows and anything on the rear of the car. I always do 20% all around. It is perfect.
Ive had 5% on my last 3 vehicles in maine and never been hassled either. Even been stopped for speeding and nothing was said. I also cant remember the last time ive had an inspection sticker in the window either!!!!

I have legal tint on the Chevelle, the before after look and comfort inside the car is insane.

I don't like it so dark I can't see out the rear glass with my mirror, but legal tint is a must for me.

You can't remember the last time you had an inspection sticker?? haha. I have been pulled over a lot, especially when I was younger and my LEGAL window tint was always something the cops brought up. I couldnt go a day over without having an inspection sticker, I know they would get me.

Where in Maine are you? I am in Kittery, basically Portsmouth, NH.

Unless you want your car to look like a fishbowl tint it.. My z28 and traiblazer have 5% all around and i love it. Around where i live cops dont mess with you for it unless its on an crown vic or a bubble chevy on 24's or something else 'gangster' looking lol. Mabye I've just had good luck, but the small risk with police is worth the better looks and privacy IMO

talk to the cops where your live and they will tell you how dark you can go without hassel. But cops are cops and if they want to screw with you tint or no tint they will pull you over.
Your car, your preference, your money.....it's on you buddy
good luck and have fun

I prefer a darker tint...however, here in phoenix we can generally get away with it.

Not majorly. I had my car tinted at the place in Barnegat on Rt. 9 behind the gas station. Did an awesome job and had all 3 windows done for 150 (convertible).
