A4 shift **** swaps
Well as many of you know unless you buy a special adapter there are not many options for the A4 shift *****. Well today I went out browsing the pick-a-parts for a stock t-handle shifter since mine is missing the actual button cap. I found a lot of early 4th gens, but sadly the shift ***** were either gone or destroyed. So I decided to browse around some more. I started to notice that a lot of the other GM cars had shifters that use the same style clip system as the A4 4th gens. Needless to say when all was said and done I picked up 3 shift ***** for a total of 7 dollars. All work fine and each looks very different from stock. I figure I may just swap'em around as I get bored with each one. Here is a pic showing how each one looks. There were some other *****, but nothing I thoughy might look good. I was wondering if anyone else has done a swap like this? I ideas of some other shift ***** that may look good from other GM vehicles that use the little clip to hold them in?

I've got to figure something out for my new bird. I guess Ill look for these adapters...
but I really don't like how high it is, its unnatural for me, so i need to cut it as well.
As a note, before logging in, ***** was censored to *****... made me chuckle.

No. It uses a torx screw for a friction fit.
Also, there is a tab on the inside of the handle's shaft that gets in the way of lowering it into position. I trimmed it out with a chisel. It'll make sense if you try to install it unmodified (since the handle will "bottom-out" too high to work).
