Looking for some good advice on carpet cleaning. I picked up an '02 ebony carpet on here and it has a decent sized spill stain and a couple other spots that need to be touched up. My carpet was garbage from the moment I got the car, so I've never bothered shampooing it or anything.
Any recommendations? Thanks!

It depends on how bad it is. If it's really bad try to find a local dealership or reputable detailing places and see how much it would be to professionally extract it. I would suggest taking your seats out(not the drivers obviously, see if you can take the driver seat out there)1. More of your carpet gets cleaned 2. It's a lot easier for the guy doing it.
If you want to do it yourself I have had good luck with Adam's Carpet & Upholstery cleaner. I tried Folex but like Adam's better.

Detailers Domain sells a kit with a 3inch Groits polisher that has attachments to clean carpets/seats.

I have also seen good things from HD on the Autopia board but haven't had any personal experience with it.
I use brushes from Adams. I'm sure there are other good quality brushes out there cheaper but I decided to get his. I got his carpet brush and the horse hair brush(very nice brush)for cleaning leather and textured plastics.
Just giving you a few ideas.

Mines not even worth trying anything to it's just completely shot, the previous owners tore it up good, so at some point I will be replacing mine, but I will be going with a different color as it will be part of my 2 tone interior, but I've got to work out exactly what parts will remain there current color and what parts will be the new color and then what color to do.

I went ahead and tried Folex. It worked to get most of the stain out but there was still a little bit left that no matter how much I scrubbed would not let go. I'd say it was worth the $6 though. Thanks!
