This is a truly an incredible build/rebuild lol. The cars looks brand new as if GM produced it themselves. Good job!

Like someone else said this is the kind of build everyone should strive to achieve, very nice. It takes alot of time, blood, sweet and tears to get a ride to the level you got.

You are so gawd damn OCD and thorough and it is AWESOME!!! Wish I had seen this build when I was doing mine - I wouldn't have sat on my *** procrastinating so much! Very inspirational stuff in here. PM me if you ever head to central Texas. Beer and dinner on me if you come to Austin/cen-Tex area. Car looks and runs amazing.

I will revisit this thread when I have more time. Cheers, Jesse!

It doesn't get much cleaner than this. Great build! Do you have any pics of the whole car with the grille installed?

me too!!!!

question though, if you had abs on your previous car would you still have totaled the car when you saw the deer? Reason I ask is cause I see you have no abs on this car, praying nothing jumps out in front of you or is this now your track only car?

Thanks! I believe I have posted all the pics I have with the grille installed. I am waiting to finish up the latest round of mods and I'll get a lot of new pics. I've got a place in mind next to the coast that is really nice.

I don't think there was any saving the car with or without ABS that day. It happened so fast its hard to say. The car stops great you just can't hammer the pedal down in panic so hopefully it won't happen again lol. Car is a STREET CAR! Which mostly sits in the garage dusty lol.

it also depends on a few other things: how was the pavement surface, what was your your tire condition, what was your brake condition, how fast were you going. If all those things were against you yeah ABS wouldn't help lol

keep this car good or you're going to make people cry on here!!!

Yep who knows. Lots of factors like you said. All I can do is drive it and hope for the best.

Question, how do you go from being such a newb afraid of batteries to pulling engines lol. This coming from a fellow newb asking. You know newb to newb lol.

Please don't get offended, I'm seriously asking, I'm trying to teach myself and **** gets confusing sometimes, with lifts and cams and boring an engine?

Well I got done with my whole new fuel system and had it tuned by Heintz Racing. It made 553/507 thru a 9" with 4.30s and my 18" drag radials. Just waiting on some new spark plug wires since the MSD's broke at the track. Going with Firecore 50's. Other than that just planning on doing a full exhaust soon and need to buy a buffer kit and detail this thing..

You just have to get in there and start unbolting **** and see how it all works together. I followed all the tutorials I could on LS1howto.com and another site which the name escapes me right now but if you google ls1 tutorials I'm sure it'll come up. It's easy to take **** apart, the hard part is putting it back together the right way so taking pictures and labeling stuff helps a lot.
