My Rebuild Thread V2.0 LS7 427..MWC9..RPM..Fikse
Well I've had my car done for awhile now and finally getting around to posting up the build thread I made awhile back on another forum.
This thread starts out about my old black Camaro SS that I had and all the parts I bought for it and then wrecked after I got home from deployment. Then it turns into buying a roller transforming it into the car I have today.
This was my old car.
It was a 2001 Camaro SS SLP with 44,xxx miles on it. I bought it bone stock a few years ago with 13,071 miles on it and did every single modification to it. Back then I didn't know what the hell I was doing so I paid RPM Motorsports in Garner NC to do the work for me. I was such a noob I was scared to unhook the battery without ******* something up lol. Over the years I have watched and taught myself everything. No longer scared to unhook the battery :cheers
I had heads/cam/intake/exhaust done to this car. It made 474/428 on a dynojet and ran 11.79 @ 124.69 mph with a 2.01 60ft with the GM 10 bolt and stock 3.42s.
Here is the old build thread if you wish to view it. https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...grind-cam.html
Right before I deployed after putting the heads on I had PTV issues and blew a hole in a piston so I had to get the shortblock rebuilt. So that happened and I got it back running and went off to Afghanistan. While deployed my wife was starting it for me here and there. I came back for 2 weeks during my 10 month deployment and drove it for a bit and then lost oil pressure. It spun all 5 main bearings. So once back overseas I reenlisted in the Marine Corps and started to go crazy buying parts etc. Here is most the parts I bought.

RPM Super T56 trans C6z06 internals G-force 30spline mainshaft billet keys etc
McLeod RXT Twin disk clutch
Shipping the motor to me
WELD RTS rears 15x10"
Mickey Thompson ET Drags 28" stiff wall slicks
MWC rear and suspension
MWC K-member and lower a-arms
Dual Aeroforce gauges installed
AFCOs assembled
Wolfe 6pt cromoly bolt in cage, low slung door bars, rear bars thru speaker holes
So I got home and RPM had put the motor/trans setup in (all the other parts sitting at home still) and like 2 weeks after being back from deployment I wrecked the car from a deer running out in front of me and ABS being deleted I locked all the wheels up, skidded a ways into a ditch and rolled onto the roof. Here is the aftermath...
I walked away from this with only scratches. The car was totaled obviously and insurance gave me $14,097. I paid my deductible and loan off and was left with roughly $5k in my pocket with my car and the motor/trans and other good parts still.
I picked up this roller for $3300.
I got it to my house and immediately started ripping **** out and hammering away and grinding, welding, sanding, primering etc..

Started painting other **** too while everything was out.
Got the car back from the painter.
Started putting some stuff back on and got my hood finally.
Painted a bunch on the motor too.
Grinding the old subframes off lol. The car was well supported no worries. They wanted to do it so I let them as long as they didn't sue me lol.

My custom nose emblem I designed
Annnnnnd had a company make it for me
Decided to paint the undercarriage as best I could with everything still installed
You can see here how nicely the rubberized material came out under the rocker panel and in the wheel wells.
The wheel well is reflecting some of the browness of the rotor but its black.
So that's about it. I haven't taken any new pics in a long time. I have added some other things to the car since these pics. Any questions feel free to ask!

The 3rd video was a 10.63 @ 127.43 mph 1.44 60ft, 6.803 102.25mph at the 1/8th. The previous owner was running around 10.3-10.4 and trapping an average of 134-135mph with a best of 139 with 106-108 in the 1/8th so you can see I have a lot left in it once I fix my fuel issue.
