Default Who all has the WS6 Short Stick?

Really thinking about ordering one of these for my 99 SS
http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...phpindex-2.php

I've read some threads were people say that when they install these that they get a loud whinning sound and can feel the tranny?? Should I get this one or the lous short stick. Here's what my stick and handle looks like? Do I have a hurst shifter?

I did the short stick and noticed that sound. I put in a B&M Ripper shortly after and it's much nicer.

What kind of sound does it make.

Humming/Whine noise. Nothing major. You'll get more vibration through it as well....as you will with most aftermarket sticks. My advice, put in a B&M Ripper or a 5.0

thats it with the stock hurst and ws6 store short stick. car was in 4th in the pic.
I used to have it on my stock hurst, it was nice very precise but also fairly notchy. I now have the pro 5.0 much better. You do not look like you have the hurst shifter.

Thanks! Is the TNA short stick and better than the WS6 stick? It is a fuss cheaper.

I have the ws6 store stick on my 2000 SS with a pro billet hurst and it's ok, I had to shim it over quite a bit to have it sit in the factory location though. I just ordered the tna short stick for my 02 ws6, I like that it comes with a spacer. It's going on the factory hurst, I will let you know how I like it if you want? Should have it by Tuesday

I know you are trying to go on the cheap, my advice - don't.
Looks like you don't have the stock hurst, which means you are stuck with the really sloppy base one. Adding a short stick to that one is only going to do so much, it will still be sloppy. Save some money up and get an MGW shifter, money well spent and you will love it. Read up on the reviews.

Like mentioned above, save up and buy quality or you will regret it. The TNA is garbage and a waste of money.

I have the ws6store one and it rattles like hell. Really annoying. Maybe it's because I have the white hurst ball too but I don't know.

I have heard people say the WS6 store stick rattles and I dont hear any noise from mine on my hurst billet shifter and I have it shimmed over to the left. Once this is in and tightened down I dont see it making any noise. if it sucks then oh well I really don't care for $20 shipped I wont complain.

If you have the stock hurst shifter you will have rpo code BBS. Also you would have the leather H **** not the round leather ball.

How can you say that one 6" steel rod is so vastly superior to another? The actual shifter is a whole other story, but the just the stick?

I have a home made one a friend gave to me that looks like the TNA one posted. When I installed it I put a piece of double stick tape (the thick 3M kind) between the shifter and the offsetting block, and between the stick and the offsetting block. I noticed no added noise or excessive vibration with this. This is with the factory hurst shifter, and supposedly a 1LE trans mount (part of the Bilstein level 2 suspension upgrade from SLP). I definitely like that stick is offset like the factory one.
