You could use VHT to darken the corners without going totally black, and that would still let light through. That's what I did. Or you could get black corners.

That exhaust will polish up like brand new with a little bit of Mothers polish. I bought mine in the same condition a couple years ago and with 30 mins of elbow grease it looked fantastic.

thanks man. it was a fun project. I had to completely sand down my lenses though. I would like to still get new depo whistler'd lights or projector halo ones. I'm even considering retro-fitting projectors into mine because i have hids now and want to do it right

Seems like it should be fun lol I am the same way, I would love to get BLS projectors with dual halos but i jsut cant afford it. Thats why I am going to settle with this for now.

I'm also thinking about removing my grill too, but I don't know about not having a front plate.

Figured I would update this thread in preparation of some more goods on order and the changes that have already been made since then. I already UMI upper a arms with rod ends and lower front and rear moog bushings and ball joints waiting to go on. Strano springs and Koni STR.T shocks are on order

The basic list of changes so far since the last update:
September 2015
-SE 1-7/8" long tubes
-water pump, timing cover and oil pan gaskets
-melling oil pump and ls2 timing chain

May 2016
-All new A/C system besides the evap core
-SLP lip

March 2017
- 20% tint all around with lighter and more reflective tint on windshield with 20% eyebrow
-Triple gauge pod with glowshift gauges
-7in android touchscreen stereo and 10in sub in rear driver corner
-Python remote start alarm
-New depo whistler headlight housings, I painted low beam reflector
-TRS 50w Morimoto Mini H1 projectors 7.0 and 6500k hids, shrouds painted black

October 2017
-18x9.5 Spyders 57mm offset with 90% tread (found for $400 on craigslist 9hr drive away)
-2x20mm hub centric wheel spacers on the rear

Thanks 2JAWZ, I also do it for the wife cause she drives it during the day since I work nights. I know she really enjoys it, looking good. She tells me every guy that looking at it does a double take when they realize it's a girl driving or when she gets out at Walmart for her weekly trips in the morning.

Well after some years of no major changes, I decided to make some.

Spring 2021
New gears orange motive 3.73 and diff cover
New painted parts
New front and rear UMI sway bars

January 2022
Brought the car in the garage to do a full paint correction and engine bay restoration.

Before hood, extreme oxidation

After compound and polish with Meguiar's m110 and 210

Brought back the factory front upper control arms with new bushings and ball joints from the umi arms. Painted the arms and fender well area

Then I dove in under the hood for the last 3 months

And now we're caught up to this past weekend. I still have to paint the side mirrors really bad clear coat damage, pass headlight bracket, back of both headlight housings (currently gray). Fit the ls6 pcv valley cover and that's probably it besides putting it all back together. Kind of want to paint front and rear bumpers too but Idk.

I used Wa8555 paint code single stage paint for the engine bay, spraymax Wa8555 single stage for the intake, wiper blades, cowls, washer tank.

I love these builds. Great work thus far dude. Gives me ideas on restoring certain parts on my car that you've done. Namely my wiper arms and cowl pieces.
