RAM AIR/COLD AIR mod, anyone modified the underside of car to force more air into Lid
I was reading up on free mods to do on Camaro and I have done most of them except for one that was suggested although it had no pics.
Has anyone with a LID,SLP COld AIR, OR ANY KIND OF INTAKE THAT PULLS AIR FROM BOTTOM OF CAR done any further mods to force more air into the system
for intance like boxing in or building 3 walls around the inlet so it scoops up more air.
PICTURES PLEASE WOULD BE AWESOME

I've seen this done years ago and heard i wasn't a good idea. Something where people hit puddles in the rain and suck water and and damage he engine. Could be wrobg but I think im right.

I did the free mod where you cut out the top section of plastic of the radiator shroud and the bottom of the airbox. Seeing how dirty it gets my filter in just a few thousand (6-7k) miles I would try to do anything to get more flow from that area.

I just did the SSRA yesterday myself along with a Shaner S3 ported TB, and noticed a difference at highway speed for sure. Maybe it's because I have a HCI package to begin with, but it seems more responsive the faster I go

I had that problem, my area has bad water drainage, so we get a lot of puddles and it would get into my engine and make it run really bad. It's not my DD anymore so I just make sure it doesn't rain when I'm driving.

SS Lead Foot:Your right
I had a buddy recently, who acidently ran though a deep water puddle and it sucked up a ton of water and completely screwed up his motor, but he is a spoiled little rich kid so daddy bought hit a brand new LS6. Good news is they gave me all the LS1 stuff, so I should be able to salvage (not scrap) most of the parts.
So I guess it all depends on driver, I usually don't drive around in heavy rain
