TypeX halo fog light Conversion
I am wanting to change the fog lights to halos, im not sure of the diameter but the bumper is a 2000 formula.
Will these fit and work or do I need a different set and how hard is it to convert?
any tips or advice will be appreciated thanks

PM replied to. In short, "no", those will not work.
To my knowledge there is no "kit" offering an aftermarket halo fog light for our cars. I had to custom make mine. It was not easy to do, but then again it wasn't rocket science either. If you are looking for something plug and play simple, it doesn't exist, and if that's what you are looking for, you are better off just stopping there. It can be done though if you are willing to spend the time and money to do it on your own though.

Those Bling Lights don't look worth $90. I've seen stuff like that on the shelf at Pep Boys for $40.
Take a look at the Lighting FAQ to see what others has installed.

I measured earlier today before work, the Firebird/Formula front bumper is a 4.5" fog, now from what I remember the DRL/turns are about 3.5", either way the lights in the OP say 75mm and with 1 inch equaling 25.4mm that puts the ones in the OP just under 3 inches which is to small either way..

In either event, the exact measurement needs to be made to find the appropriate lamp size.
Look this isn't that difficult. Take a good measurement, then find the lamp you want that is the right size. I went with a higher quality Hella lamp http://www.rallylights.com/detail.aspx?ID=128
You could also get cheap $40 a pair ones from eBay.
Then I bought eBay halo rings that measured up perfectly to go around the projectors I got. I went cheap and silicone the rings to the projectors. That was years ago, and they still are working perfect. I even went with some DDM tuning HID's for the projectors.
I probably have about $200 total in mine. It was not anything cosmic. The hardest was making the brackets. But its still fairly simple fabrication. It takes time on your own part, and a little self engineering, but I think most could probably mimick something similar.

it took some digging but I found the thread http://www.fullthrottlev6.com/forums...in-98-Firebird aftermarket fog lights with the Halo ring that are the right diameter (despite him giving the wrong size in the post) that are a relatively easy install in place of the stock lights.

Here is the LS1 Tech version of that thread:

Its a copy-and paste of the Full Throttle V6 post.
That link is posted in the Lighting FAQ.
I just added your link to the list as well.
I did that mod too. A link to my setup is in the Lighting FAQ as well.
Those fog lights aren't that great. They have a conical beam pattern instead of a low & flat beam pattern. So basically, they are flood lights and not fog lights. I usually leave them off.
