Hey guy hope you all are doing fine. Today I was bored and decided to try something. I plastidiped part of my tail lights to imitate the new charger look. If it work I will finish it uo by connecting both sides here are some pictures.

Not crazy about the taillights either. Maybe if it was a thinner stripe and flowed with the body lines, maybe.

I kinda like where you were going with the charger look. It would probably have to be a big custom piece to replace the whole rear assembly though if you wanted to make it look right. Here's what I am imagining. What do you guys think?

I stole this picture from the guy with the awesome clear taillights idea. Hope he doesn't mind

Another good idea that fails in the end because the guy half asses it and uses plastidip. If you want it too look good you're goingto have to put some custom work into it and and some money. I hate this fad going on right now of everyone just throwing some plastidip on amd calling it a day.

All good ideas have to start somewhere. Although, I agree, you should actually turn this into a real deal and mold one, I'd buy one

Your original plastidip ideal would work a million times better with LT1 tails instead of honeycombs.

Touche' good sir. Touche'

I'm still tempted to tackle the clear tail lights. I know i could do it, just wondering how much money it would eat up trying to get it right.

I was thinking 1993-1996 V6 tail lights since they are all red with no lines.

Either way, since the centers are being covered, you are reducing output/visibility and trapping heat. You'll need to install some brighter bulbs in there (safer to use some quality drop-in LEDs due to the trapped heat Or go completely custom).

How about some thick horizontal black lines to make them look more like early Firebirds.
