Question Products better than Mother's Back To Black?

BTB works, but you have to re-apply every few weeks or so. Are there any similar products out there that perform a lot better/last much longer?

for what?

If, possible (depending on what you're trying to fix) i'd go with paint like CamaroGuy said.

I used Bondo's Restore Black a few years ago on the windshield wiper cowl plastic pieces, and the t-top rubber frame, and that stuff lasted a good year, to a year and a half or so. but even once it started to fade after all that time, it never went back to nearly as faded as it was prior to using the product. I didn't end up caring enough about it for another 6 months or so after I noticed it wearing away, and at that time I couldn't find my old bottle, and couldn't find it in any local stores either.. So I tried Mothers BTB.. and just like you said, that stuff lasts for all of 1-2 weeks, or until your next wash.

luckily I eventually came across my old bottle in the garage, so I'll be using that again eventually.. just haven't found the motivation to do it again yet.

here's an old thread I made after I tried the Bondo Restore Black. a few people in there painted it as well and posted up some basic how-to info

Try duragloss #271. It really is amazing stuff. I have some pictures on my computer that I can post later but I'm on my phone now.

Tried the Wolfgang stuff that I spent $30 on. It seems to be ok for trim that is not badly faded. It did not restore as advertised, though. Easy to apply, but not as effective as advertised.

Back To Black works better than this stuff.

I have used Mothers back to black and didn't like it at all. Black Wow is pretty good but it runs when it rains. I'm going to try DLUX Quartz coating from CarPro. I have seen several reviews on it from CeeDog and have been impressed.

Why didn't you like BTB? Other than it not lasting as long as I'd like, it's never give me any problems & it does work well.

I don't know if the trim I was working on was just that bad or maybe the bottle I got was bad but I wasn't impressed at all. I found Black WOW and never had the need/desire to go back and try it again.

Wurth satin trim paint. It's the best and dries super fast. We do all insurance trim with it.
