Cool ****Custom HID projector headlights 1993 camaro****

Donor lights came from a C6 vette. Happy with the look and for less than $115 I cannot complain. Will get some night shots when it gets dark. The GTS covers fit like crap and I had to make custom brackets so they're hidden, still like the way they look. Opinions?

Looks good so far.

How did you mount them?
What are you doing for shrouds?
How are you sealing around the projectors so that water and dirt don't damage them?

I added this to the Lighting FAQ:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...hting-faq.html

Did you see Nova5's setup?
https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...-1997-z28.html
(Not quite sealed, but shows how they were mounted.)

I mounted them using the stock C6 bracket cut in half.

Not gonna use any shrouds because its a tight fit and I personally don't like the look of shrouds. Right now I just taped the projectors up with aluminum tape. Its safe from dirt but not 100% water-proof. I don't drive this in the rain though so Idk if ill go the extra mile haha. Ill get more detailed pictures though.

I have a bunch of carbon fiber cloth left over that im thinking about using to make a nice closure for these. The electrical tape is there for aesthetics only, I hated seeing all that silver during the day.

Thanks my car looks good until I open the hood lol then again it just looks all stock under except headers. I really do neglect this thing. I suck at taking pictures also.

Looks good with the covers and for the money, should perform well. My only concern would be general dust, moisture (humidity) or whatever may find its way behind the cover and back of the projectors.

If I remember correctly, the heat from being directly on the projectors will melt the electrical tape a bit and the adhesive will smoke.

No smoke or anything yet but they're not finished yet.
